The magic lives in the people

The storm changed our coastline.
It did not change who we are.

A community-powered celebration of the Emerald Coast—its beauty, its people, and the neighbors rebuilding home together.

The story behind the song

A place gets into your heart.

People arrive for a vacation and leave imagining a life here. Those lucky enough to grow up along this coast already know why.

After Santa Rosa Shaken passed 74,000 views on Justin Segner's personal Facebook profile, one message kept coming through: damage can change a place, but it cannot destroy the spirit that made it special.

“The storm damaged the area, but it couldn't destroy its magic—because the magic lives in the people.”

Emerald Coast Magic opens that story to the whole coast. This is a home for hopeful recovery updates, local memories, natural beauty, and the people carrying the community forward.

The songs and the stories

Listen. Watch. Carry it with you.

Meet Emerald Coast Revival, the music project behind both songs. Play them on the page, watch the footage, or share them with someone who loves this coast.

From story to service

Rebuilding takes connection.

Segner Connect was already being developed to help people connect with local businesses before the storm. Recovery has made that work more urgent.

The limited disaster-recovery and contractor-connection tools are being prioritized for an earlier phased release. Other Segner Connect features will open over time as they are ready and verified.

No claim that applications, payments, contractor matching, or app downloads are open yet.

Residents

Describe the recovery need, review available local options, and choose who to contact. No uncontrolled self-dispatch.

Planned first-release path

Businesses & contractors

Request private review, document the services and areas you cover, and complete verification before public activation.

Volunteer relief

Keep volunteer help separate from paid contractor work, with coordinated requests and protected household information.

For local businesses

Start with a private review.

Tell us who you are, what you do, and where you work. This does not publish your business or promise jobs. It prepares the information needed for a careful onboarding conversation.

  • No automatic public listing
  • No payment or subscription started here
  • Verification and activation remain separate decisions
Private business review

This starts a conversation. It does not create a listing, approve a contractor, begin a subscription, or authorize outreach.

The magic was still there.

Justin’s visit documented the beach, green water, and families still finding beauty in the place they love.
